How are your styling services different?

My services are less focused on making you red carpet ready and more on helping you feel happy with the way you look. Of course style trends can play a role in this, but I think as parents we come to find that function tends to win out over fashion time and time again. My goal is to help my clients find a healthy balance between the two and develop a wardrobe that they are not only proud to flaunt, but also works for their lifestyle. For those who have recently given birth, my clothing suggestions keep in mind their unique needs and aim to develop a transitional wardrobe to bridge the gap between maternity and traditional clothing.

Why work with a stylist?

In short, because we often need a second opinion when it comes to clothing. To me, a stylist isn’t someone who will come in and tell you what you need to wear; rather they will help guide you towards making the decisions about your style that you may not have arrived at on your own. We can all be our worst critics and having a neutral party is invaluable during the postpartum phase when our bodies and lives have gone through so many changes. Moreover, during a time when your primary focus is on your children, it’s nice to carve out some time that is just for you!

How does the process work?

The first step is to fill out my contact form. Next I will reach out by email to discuss pricing info and send you my style survey. This will help me to get a sense of your existing wardrobe, shopping habits as well as what you hope to accomplish by working with me. All my services include a free phone consult where I will gather further information based on your survey responses. If you are uncertain about what service is right for you we can certainly use the phone consult to decide this together. At the end of the consult we can arrange a time for our appointment.

Do you only work with people who have recently given birth?

Of course not! First off, we all know that the postpartum phase can extend long after a the first few moths following child birth, therefore I work with parents with children of all ages as well as those who have never given birth. My services are designed to cater to the needs of this specific population, but this doesn’t mean I can’t assist others with different styling needs. Moreover, I recognize that families are created through a variety of methods some of which do not involve the parents or primary caregiver giving birth. Having children can be a large lifestyle change and my services are designed to address those needs as well as the physical ones.

Do you work with trans and non-binary clients?

Yes.  I know the challenges that trans and non-binary pregnant and postpartum folks face in finding clothes that both fit and are gender-affirming.  I founded this business in part to be able to offer more options and comfort to trans, non-binary, trans-masculine, genderqueer, and gender non-conforming folks in this situation.  My services are affirming, trans-friendly, trans-competent, and designed to have you looking and feeling your best.

Do you offer gift certificates?

Yes! I am happy to work with you to customize a gift certificate for your recipient. Send a message through the Contact page and I will be in touch with you shortly.
